Welcome to the website for Rockhall, the Don Whillans Memorial Hut. This unique building is set amongst the buttresses and boulders of the historic Roaches climbing area in Staffordshire, so close to the crag that you can almost belay from the hut! The hut is on the Roaches Estate (managed by the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust), leased by the BMC and run by a team of volunteers.
It has basic accommodation for up to 12 people, mixed, in two rooms, with full cooking and dining facilities, shower, central heating and a drying room. Parking is in a lay-by approximately 400 metres below the hut. Disabled access is not easy at this site.
We take bookings up to a year ahead. To make a booking you need to be an individual or club/affiliate member of the BMC, MS or other national association. Groups that include Under 18s must comply with the BMC Child Safeguarding Policy.
For anything urgent TEXT the Hut Warden (07802 449991) with your booking number.
